Motherease Nappies.

Motherease nappies are made of a specially designed fabric, which is knitted with cotton and polyester. The fabric is flexible, comfortable and absorbent, as well as durable, and the polyester is knitted into the base of the fabric, so does not come into contact with the baby’s skin.
Motherease come highly recommended; the One Size nappy was used for our daughter, and the Sandy’s are used by our nappy laundry service.

Motherease: One Size.
The Motherease One Size nappy is the most popular nappy in Canada, where it originates from, and is one of the most commonly used in the UK. Made of the stretchy fabric described above, it fastens with poppers, and is adjustable as your baby grows, to fit from 8-35lbs (See diagram below). A snap in liner is available as a booster for older babies and heavy wetters. Also available in unbleached organic cotton.

Motherease: One Size Stay Dry.
Like the traditional One Size, as described above, but with an additional polyester lining, to keep wetness away from your baby’s skin. Slightly more bulky, and a little more expensive than the traditional One Size. Recommended for babies with very sensitive skin. A stay dry snap in booster is available.

Motherease: Multifit.
This is the Velcro fastening alternative to the One Size, for those who don’t want to, or are not able to use poppers. Made of the same knitted terry fabric, the nappy again fits babies from 8-35lbs, and boosters are available to increase absorbency.

Sandy’s are the multi-size option from Motherease. Sandy’s are available in four sizes, to fit from 6-45lbs, although two sizes will usually be sufficient from birth to potty training. Ella’s House Nappies.

Ella’s House nappies are a three-size nappy system, made in Scotland. They are made using a hemp/cotton blend fabric which is brushed on one side to produce a soft fleece. Hemp is kinder to the environment than cotton, as it has natural pesticide and fungicide qualities, so does not require as much chemical intervention. Hemp is more absorbent than cotton, and the absorbency increases the more the nappies are washed. The nappies were designed to be slim fitting nappy and very absorbent, and all feature gentle elastication at the waist and legs, and fasten with your choice of Velcro or poppers. The nappies are available in three sizes, although the largest size may not be needed.

Ella's House: Hemp Nappy.
This was the original Ella’s House nappy, and was designed to provide a slimline nappy suitable for daywear, with maximum absorbency for minimum bulk. The nappies are one of the most absorbent we have tried, and while they were originally designed specifically for day wear, we have had no problems with leaks when used for a full night.

The Bum Hugger is a real luxury nappy. Made of the same fabric as the other Ella's House nappies, it has a layer of polyester fleece on the inside. It is soft, snuggly, and water repellent, so keeps your baby dry all night long.

Available in white and unbleached long-loop terry, this nappy is quick and easy to use. With five layers of absorbent terry, the nappy is absorbent enough even for night time use. The small Tots Bots nappies have an attached fleece liner for increased comfort for newborns. Available with Velcro, or plain for fastening with a nippa, the Velcro fastening nappies have fold-back tabs to prevent them sticking together in the wash.

Bamboozle
Based on the same design as the traditional Tots Bots nappy, the Bamboozle is made with a new bamboo terry towelling, which is naturally antibacterial, beautifully soft, and up to 60% more absorbent than cotton, yet dries up to 20% more quickly. Fluffle
The Fluffle is based on the traditional Tots Bots design, with a front that folds down so that the nappy fits a greater weight range. The nappy also includes a thin fleece lining for a stay-dry feel. The Fluffle is made from a new terry fabric which is more absorbent than cotton, naturally antibacterial, quick drying and stays very soft, even in hard water areas.

Flat Nappies.

With the range of shaped, sized and fitted nappies now available on the market, flat nappies can often be overlooked. However, traditional terry toweling squares were used by generations of parents, and prefolds, the first step away from flat squares towards the nappies on the market today, were seen as a great breakthrough in their time. Flat nappies remain a cheap and quick drying option; even if using another nappy system, a few terries or prefolds in your nappy collection are invaluable, as portable changing mats, burp cloths, and spares, for when you’re behind with the washing of your usual nappies. They also have a greater lifespan than elasticated, shaped nappies, as once they are outgrown, they can be used as towels, floor cloths, window cleaners, and a multitude of other purposes.
Traditional terry squares need to be pinned or nippa’d, and can either be traditionally folded, or folded into a pad (contact us for folding instructions). Prefolds need to be folded in three, and need a snug fitting wrap to hold them in place.

Natural Unbleached Terries.
These nappies are made of a long loop terry,and the edges are simply finished and rounded at the corners for a natural appearance. Available in two sizes, 40x40cm for small babies, and 60x60cm, the traditional terry nappy size, which although very bulky on a newborn, can be worn from birth.

Prefolds.
